Hello and welcome! I’m Jasmine, the therapist here.

Jasmine DeBeary, LCSW

I have always been a firm believer that therapy is a journey for all stages of life — not just during moments of turmoil, but also in times of joy and stability. My mission is and will always be to empower individuals to embrace self-compassion and grace, fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and their potential.

With 15 years of experience in the mental and behavioral health field, I focus on supporting individuals dealing with challenges related to focus and attention, emotional regulation difficulties, low mood, loss, past distressing experiences, and difficulties in personal relationships. I also conduct numerous maintenance sessions, as many of my clients value having an outlet even after they have achieved their goals.

My approach to therapy focuses on addressing present challenges through practical solutions that enhance your well-being and alleviate stress. I prioritize accountability and offer insights you need, rather than just what you might want to hear. I recognize that no textbook or degree can rival first-hand experience. Bearing in mind that I may not entirely grasp my client’s personal experiences, I excel at offering a professional yet personable perspective, maintaining an open mind, and always remembering that my clients are the experts on their own lives.

I acknowledge that I may be the sole confidant of your struggles or hardships, and it’s very important to me that you feel free to be your authentic self during our time together.

As I walk alongside you on your journey, know one thing: I am fueled by a deep appreciation for the transformative power of compassion and assistance in navigating life’s challenges and I am honored to have been chosen by you.

 Got questions?

I’ve Got Answers!

  • This brief, friendly chat allows us to get to know each other and discuss your needs and goals. You'll get the chance to ask any questions and understand my approach, so you'll feel comfortable and informed before deciding to start therapy with me. It's a simple, pressure-free way to find out if we're a good match on your path to healing and growth. I look forward to connecting with you!

  • During our first session, you will have plenty of time to acquaint me with what brings you to therapy. For example, you will explain to me what your goals are and together, we will develop a plan of action and determine the most effective method to monitor your progress. We will discuss scheduling to identify the days and times that are most convenient for you. Rest assured, each and every single one of your questions will be addressed prior to the closing of our session. Should questions or concerns arise between sessions, we will discuss the methods available to contact me during that time and the expected timeframe for a response. We will also cover the necessary steps to take in the event of a crisis.

  • During our follow-up session, we'll start by checking in on how you’ve been since the last time we met. You can share any progress you've made, challenges you've faced, or new insights. We'll review your goals and see how well the strategies we've discussed are working for you. If needed, we can adjust our plan to better fit your needs. You’re welcome to bring up any new questions or topics you'd like to explore. We'll also confirm our next session and any steps you might want to focus on until then.

  • At this time, exclusively telehealth services are offered. Consequently, individuals who lack access to a private and secure space for our sessions would not be suitable candidates at this time. Ensuring the security and comfort of my clients is my foremost priority. Despite the convenience of telehealth, it is not the best option for those who have limited privacy. I would strongly advise you to consider meeting with a clinician in person or to seek telehealth services once you have sufficient privacy.

  • To effectively manage my schedule and ensure I can provide the best care to all my clients, I kindly ask for a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your telehealth appointment. A cancellation made less than 24 hours in advance may incur a fee, as that time was specially reserved for your session. By notifying me early, another client in need can have the opportunity to receive timely care. This policy helps me make the best use of available appointment times. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
